Songs are like time machines: You just have to hear a few notes and you're instantly transported back to an earlier time. Hailing from Kuranda in the tropical rainforest of Far North Queensland, Honey Tree plays a wide variety of songs from jazz to rock; ballads to reggae; and anything else that sounds good on a timeline from seventy years ago to the present day. Throw in some sweet original tunes, three part harmonies and an eclectic mix of instruments and who knows where your mind will take you.

A stylistically unique musical group from day one, the members of Honey Tree have been singing, performing and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. From the outset they won the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life; performing at a variety of venues and making public appearances, all the while experimenting with new music. BIO
behind the music
Learning to play ukulele a few years ago transformed Chris from spectator to performer, enjoying the fun of playing with friends. Chris has rediscovered the joy of singing and loves to share the happiness that music brings to her.
Lawry has been playing guitar and bass for over forty five years (let's not talk about that any further) and also plays ukulele, mandolin and charango. He has played in cover bands, jazzy combos and world music line-ups enjoying the buzz of performing with others. He also writes and records his own songs in his studio, Coconut Groove.
Yuki Toda (aka Honey) has been involved with music industry since she was a teenager in Japan. After moving to Australia, she played in duo Bosko and Honey from 2005-2018, touring nationally and internationally, experimenting with many genres of music on two ukuleles. She is also a foundation member of local ukulele group Honey and Spice. Honey plays several instruments adding colour to Honey Tree's performances.
